Paralegal Ethics

Our Ethical Commitment

At Mission Paralegal, we believe that trust and integrity are the foundation of every client relationship. Our commitment to ethical standards ensures that clients, attorneys, and the courts can rely on us for professionalism, transparency, and respect at every step of the process. We dedicate an entire page to paralegal ethics so potential clients understand immediately what we do—and just as importantly, what we do not do.

  • Boundaries of Service: We do not draft motions or create legal documents without direct instruction from the attorney, and even then, all documents are reviewed, supervised, and approved by the attorney throughout the process.

  • Honesty & Accountability: We strive to perform all work with accuracy and care. If a mistake occurs, we promptly acknowledge it and take immediate steps to correct it.

  • Confidentiality: All information shared with Mission is kept private and secure. We treat sensitive case materials with the highest level of discretion.

  • Education & Guidance: While we do not interpret or apply the law, we do provide education on the process itself—such as the role of experts, mediation, hearings, and court procedures.

  • Professional Communication: We maintain respectful communication and aim to respond to all calls and emails in a timely manner.

  • Respect: We ask attorneys to treat our paralegal and staff with dignity, just as we commit to treating each attorney with professionalism and care.

  • Clarity of Services: Before we begin work, every attorney must review and acknowledge our service limitations and expectations, ensuring there is no confusion about our role.

Why Ethics Matter

Our ethical guidelines are not just rules—they are the standards by which we operate every day. They protect attorneys and their clients, uphold the integrity of the legal process, and define the supportive role of a paralegal. By respecting these boundaries, we provide meaningful assistance to attorneys, while ensuring everyone involved understands the limits of our role.
